Every PROPORTO panel is a well-thought-out process - from the first sketch to the finished product. I combine the precision of modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, creating a durable and unique decoration that will last for years.
1. Original design and geometric rhythm
Everything begins with the search for geometry that fascinates while offering endless arrangement possibilities. During the sketching phase, I test line layouts, proportions, and surface carving. I look for patterns that look phenomenal both as a single accent and as a cohesive 15-piece composition.
2. Digital precision and magnetic engineering
Once the design is ready, I transfer it to a 3D environment (CAD). Here, I refine the depth of the cuts to a fraction of a millimeter so that the light in your living room or office perfectly builds a three-dimensional shadow on the wood. At this stage, I also design the heart of the system - integrated, hidden magnets that allow for effortless installation and free rotation of the panels on the wall.
3. Selection of natural beech wood
I make no compromises. Only top-grade certified beech wood goes into production. I inspect every piece individually for uniformity, density, and grain pattern. Proper drying and seasoning processes ensure that the panels remain stable, do not warp, and retain perfect geometry for years.
4. Carving with CNC technology
From the digital design, I create a precise program for computer-controlled (CNC) machines. This is the moment when modern technology meets nature. Specialized cutters replicate the designed curves and lines with surgical precision, giving the raw beech a deep, three-dimensional structure.
5. Hand finishing
No machine can replace the human eye and experienced hands. After mechanical processing, every panel goes to manual sanding. It is meticulous work - I remove the smallest microfibers so that the panels are velvety smooth to the touch, and their edges are perfectly aligned.
6. Eco-friendly protection and magnetic finish
The final step is to secure the wood with a matte protective coating that prevents yellowing and allows it to breathe. It emphasizes the noble shade of the beech and protects it from everyday use. Finally, I install the proprietary magnetic system into the back of the panels.
