It started with a simple idea
The story of PROPORTO began with a very specific need. I wanted to create something that would allow for a simple way to radically change the character of an interior – but without the traditional scenario: no renovations, no dust, no drilling into walls, and no complicated labor.
Instead of looking for half-measures, I decided to design something entirely my own. A product that would combine the nobility of a natural material with an unprecedented ease of installation.
Mielec - where it all begins
I am from Mielec, and it is here that the heart of PROPORTO beats. This is where all the designs are created and the entire production process takes place – from the first ideas on paper to packing the finished sets.
Working in my own workshop gives me something invaluable: complete, rigorous control over the quality of every single panel that leaves the studio.
From design to a magnetic breakthrough
I am not an intermediary or a simple salesperson. I design, test, and improve the products myself. The breakthrough was creating a proprietary magnetic system. I wanted wall decoration not to be a permanent decision.
By combining precisely milled wood with a self-adhesive magnetic base, I created a product that allows for a complete change of the pattern layout in just a few minutes.
Why do I do it?
I wanted to create a real alternative to classic, labor-intensive wall finishes. Something that is installed in a flash and offers a spectacular effect immediately visible.
I consciously abandoned mass, impersonal production. I know that wood requires attention, which is why behind every panel lies advanced CNC technology and precise, meticulous handiwork during finishing.
Polish craftsmanship in a modern edition
Manufacturing in Poland is my conscious and proud choice. It allows me to maintain repeatability, perfect fitting of elements, and full control over the selection of the beech raw material. It is also my way of supporting local craftsmanship and creating things that have true, lasting value.
My approach
I focus on simplicity, quality, and functionality. PROPORTO panels are meant to be not just a beautiful decoration, but a solution that works perfectly in everyday life – durable, easy to maintain, and providing a lot of joy with every change of arrangement. I create things that I am proud to hang in my own home.
Summary
I am not a large, soulless factory. I create the product from A to Z – from the first sketch to the finished magnetic panel. I do everything with the thought of giving your interior a unique, natural character in the simplest way possible.
